I also have allergies and sinus trouble. A heated humidifier is very important when you are dealing with these issues. To prevent rainout cover your hose. You can buy a sleeve or make one by sewing a long tube to slide over the hose. Just tie it in place or put velcro on the ends so you can easily take it off and put it back on the hose.
