In the three years I have been on APAP, my pressure needs have very gradually reduced from an average of 12-13 to its present 10-11. When I started APAP, I rarely slept an unbroken three-hour stretch at night. I now sleep 5-6 unbroken hours at night about 50% of the time. I am a senior citizen, 67 years old, and started CPAP 5 1/2 years ago.
