Anyone Have This Happen

Posted by dopey on June 06, 2006 at 20:49:39:

When lying on my back and falling asleep, I sometimes jolt awake while dozing. It feels as if when EXHALING, my nose becomes shut off. It seems like REVERSE APNEA. My nasal passage/soft pallet/uvula area kind of blocks the exhale and I snort and jolt back to wide awake. I sleep on my stomach most of the time, but while asleep, I'm sure I spend some time on my back. Could this be a significant sleep distubance event?
