Yes, this can represent a form of Sleep Apnea. Your sleep is interrupted - and thus “fragmented” - just as if it Happened inhaling. Also, you’re not properly expelling CO2, which means your breathing is disrupted.

You need to see a sleep doctor. Since this does not appear to be garden variety Sleep Apnea, you need to see a sleep doctor who is a neurologist.
