Reading data from cpaps?

Posted by Dash on June 20, 2006 at 08:26:13:

Hi all, I am interested in understanding how data is downloaded from typical cpap machines that use "smart cards".

Many of the advertisments and comments by users indicate this is a relatively easy thing to do, but, I have heard from a DME company recently that they dont sell the smart card readers.

So now I am confused, how does one take the data from a smart card and transfer it to the computer? I am looking at buying a Respironics M-series cpap, which employs a smart card.

Thanks.
