Dealing with the mask, the machine, the hose, is really small potatoes compared to the benefits it brought to my life. Yes, it can be a nuisance; yes, it can take some tweaking to get everything working well; yes, sometimes the adjustment takes longer than we would like. . . . BUT

I am now able to think, remember things, problem-solve, focus on the book I'm reading, have energy for my hobbies, can drive without needing to pull over and take naps every 20 miles (really!). Five years ago (pre-CPAP), I could not remember the words to a single Christmas carol when my daughter wanted to sing. Now I'm back to being able to lead the singing.

Don't worry -- it will all work out. Good luck to you.
