Yes!! CPAP or other flow generator therapy doesn't work for everyone. CPAP actually induced central apnea but since we weren't really looking for that, it went undiagnosed for quite a while.

MY OPINION ONLY: The surgeries for "apnea" that ENTs perform are not always for the benefit of the patient. They may help make a Porche payment but may be un-necessary for apnea. I had a few procedures that didn't help with the apnea but did help breathing. MMA surgery was the ticket in my case. It also wasn't as bad as you may think. I am probably an unusual patient, but I quit taking pain meds the day I went home and went back to work 10 days after the surgery.
