I'm not sure we have sufficient information to help you. For one thing, it is my understanding surgery *sometimes* renders a patient unable to use CPAP because of scarring and other changes in throat tissue and you report 9 (count 'em -- 9) surgeries. Have you had a sleep study since your last surgery? If so, did it show that CPAP was able to control the apneas? If you've had a sleep study and CPAP did NOT control the apneas, then your only option is to explore other avenues.

If you have NOT had a sleep study after your surgeries, you may want to start with that. Then again, if your mind is made up to go with further surgeries, perhaps you no longer want to pursue a CPAP route.

Sorry if these questions seem so basic, but what little you've posted raises many questions in my mind and I have heard reference to a rare doctor or two that will prescribe a CPAP without all the studies. It may be unethical, but it seems to happen.

You may do better posting your questions regarding surgical options on the non-CPAP forum.
