Insurance companies are slime - there's no question about that. Unfortunately, they have a lot of money that can buy lawmaker's votes to leave them relatively untouched. The system is so corrupt I don't even know where to begin.

re: the sleepiness despite using the CPAP. It sounds like you may benefit from a PSG (while wearing your CPAP) with following day MSLT. If you are pathologically sleepy, the MSLT will pick it up - and you may need treatment with a wake-promoting agent (i.e. Provigil).
