Mask Noise

Posted by WakeMan on September 06, 2007 at 07:20:08:

I finally have been able to sleep with the CPAP, though only for 4-6 hrs a night. Even with that, I feel much more refreshed during the day. Mouth breathing had been a problem, so I made my own band that keeps my lips shut (it dosen't go around my chin), and that has done the trick. However, I noticed recently that as I fall asleep, my chin relaxes and my teeth pull apart. Although no air escapes, the noise level goes up considerably. I didn't notice this before. Is this a problem with the mask? Or is this a common problem. I also sleep with ear plugs.
