temp. of AIR vs. water?

Posted by biracialqt on January 19, 2007 at 15:53:58:

okay, not to beat a dead horse--I just want to make sure my machine is working as it should since I'm still awakening to a feeling cold air and dry throat...

I'm doing a little experiment right now & keeping my humidifier running without the tubing on the maximum HUMIDIFIER setting...

the WATER feels luke or room temp--not cold, not warm.
the AIR flow still feels more on the cool side (not quite cold but definately not warm)

is THAT the way it should be? (is the AIR supposed to warm)? maybe thats my problem--I am expecting the air to be warm which its not supposed to be?

thanks my sleepy saviors!
