The air isn't suppposed to feel warm, it's just supposed not to feel cold. At the highest setting my water chamber - an F&P HC-233 integrated humidifier - is very warm or even hot to the touch. The air blowing out the hose, is not warm or hot to the touch.

In any case, the water should be evaporating.
