Sleep Dizziness

Posted by bklucasbenz on January 26, 2007 at 14:30:50:

Ive been having trouble the last few months with my sleep, the last few weeks have been absolutely horrible...I talked to my doctor and he belives I have sleep apnea.. im 24 6'2 190 pounds, im not over weight at all and am usually healthy..so im thinking maybe central sleep apnea? anyways for the last year or so i have been waking up gasping for breath every once and awhile, also my heart will be beating at a rate of 120 bpm. I just attributed it to a bad dream, well things are kind of adding up now... anyways the reason I am posting is the last few weeks ive been waking up every hour extremely dizzy, my body feeling very heavy( almost like its still asleep but my brain is awake) my breaths are very shallow and its almost like I cant tell myself to breath deep.. after about 10 seconds or so it goes away and I try and fall back asleep... this happens many times during the night and its starting to scare me alot, could this be that my brain and muscles arent getting enough oxygen? I also have been extremely tired and dizzy all day. I have a sleep study in a month but im worried until than, any input would be apreciated
