Yes, humidity, allergens, and altitude can affect airway narrowing and the effectiveness of xPAP treatment. Many people retire to dryer climates such as AZ for this reason. The altitude issue is less studied but I've even heard it mentioned on this forum from someone who lived in CO and experienced improvement in their apnea when vacationing on the coast.
