Sleep aides and Central Apnia

Posted by Meren32 on March 01, 2007 at 20:21:02:

I was told not to take my Sleep aides during my two sleep studies.

I take an over the counter sleep aide.
its called Pharmacist brand sleep aide soft gels
it basically has the same ingedient in it as Benedryl.

Just curious if I will sleep better by taking the Soft gels while on the CPAP, BiPAP,
I am supposed to get my sleep machine tomorrow
with the mask.
I have central apnia with insomnia
it was diagnosed as Severe Central Apnia.

I am thinking I will be able to get to sleep quicker
by taking the meds, and will sleep better because
the mask won't annoy me as much when I am awake
