leg and foot numbness

Posted by Sandpiper on March 21, 2007 at 18:09:07:

I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I have tried CPAP but can not get used to it. I end up whipping off the mask sometime in the night. Over the last couple of years I have lost total feeling in my legs and feet from the knees down.Is this a result of apnea? I wake up in the night with a pounding heart and morning headaches. I have had surgery on my throat and tried a dental device which did not relieve the apnea symptoms. I know that I am endangering my life by continuing this way. I alreadt have hypertension and border line diabetes. What can I do?
