While there are some benefits to APAP, I really don’t think that everybody who is using a plain old CPAP needs to run out and replace it with an APAP.

With an APAP, an upward adjustment needs to be preceded by at least the beginnings of distress. Perhaps this is why you’re doing better with a CPAP that is set slightly higher than your APAP default setting.
