BiPAP Auto M Series with Bi-Flex

Posted by JimC on March 26, 2007 at 08:43:13:

I am thinking about asking my doctor to authorize rental/purchase of one of these machines, as I am not getting the best results with my 5 yr old Respironics Bi-Pap Pro.

I have read a few negative comments about the BiPap Auto M-- that it makes a whistling noise, that the humidifier leaks, and that it has a large and heavy "brick" like transformer. Has anyone else used this machine and had negative experiences? As I travel a lot, I am attracted to this particular machine because it is advertised as being very small.

Does any other company make a bi-pap with an auto-pap built into it? I'm also confused as to the brand name of this machine. Some places it is shown as a Respironics M Series Auto Bi-Pap, and others it is shown as a Remstar. Are they one in the same product.

Thanks for any advice.
