My understanding is that ResMed now has an auto-adjusting Bi-level device called the VPAP Adapt SV. I do not know how the two compare in features, humidifier functioning, price, size, or noise level. You've got to figure any bi-level device will make more noise than a regular CPAP, and make more noise as the pressure setting goes up. You might find someone on the phone at a larger internet CPAP seller who can give a better description of how the two compare.
