Researching

Posted by BaS on March 27, 2007 at 15:58:44:

Hi

Following on from a recent post of mine....

I've been away from all things related to sleep apnea for a number of years and just returned to it due to my CPAP biting the dust. I need a new machine and posted on this forum requesting feedback on a particular model recommended by my supplier.

Something someone suggested for me to do was to research before spending the big bucks on equipment I know nothing about. I am nervous because I have been recommended a machine by my supplier, but have seen snippets of information around saying there are problems with it in terms of noise and reliability. Like a lot of reviews you find on things - there are a mix of good and bad.

So, how do I research something like this? Where do I go to find information? If I have had a particular machine recommended to me, where do I look to find feedback on it? In this forum is the first obvious place to look, and I have done that, but where else can I look? Are there dedicated sites out there which provide good details on sleep apnea equipment? Ideally I'd like feedback from users of the product I am interested in.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
