I have chronic pain from arthritis and the pain is less after a good night's sleep, so while your sleep problems may not be a cause of your pain, I have no doubt it contributes to it. My heart goes out to you. Have you tried any types of massage therapy or wholistic medicine? Have you been checked for fibromyalgia, as someone else suggested? There are chronic pain support groups on the internet as well; perhaps you might find some help there. A friend of mine with chronic pain swears by her Tempur-pedic mattress. She's also heavily into fresh foods and raw juices for pain management. It seems so inadequate to say, but I wish you all the best luck.
