Sleep apnea is known to cause lack of concentration, depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, amongst a plethora of other health problems.
First off, if your doctors don't agree you (or know this already) I have very little faith in their ability to treat sleep apnea. You need to find new doctors immediately.
Why would you even need to convince them of this anyway? You either have sleep apnea or you don't! Either way, it must be treated -- find new docs...go to Stanford if you can travel. If you can't, do your research online to find the next best thing. I think there are specialists in Atlanta and Boston too.
Also, you should be able to find plenty of info about sleep apnea being a contributor to anxiety and poor concentration. As I mentioned before, they shouldn't even need this information to treat you -- but the fact that they don't already no this would leave me screaming and running..I suggest you do the same.
