Desperado, six months is not all that long; you're still getting used to it, so don't give up. You may be sleeping pretty soundly if you don't wake up when the mask is on the side of your head. How do you feel? If you're feeling better these days, the CPAP is working at least somewhat. Maybe you sleep with the mask okay for most of the night, and the problems occur near morning. At least it sounds like your mask is getting knocked to the side almost by accident. Some people take off their mask and turn off the machine without ever remembering doing it. I've done that several times.
