Are you using a heated humidifier?

If no, get one ASAP.

If yes, are you using over half the water from the chamber every night?

If no, turn up the heat.

If you do this and get rainout, get an insulating cover for the hose -- or get an insulated hose, which some people have reported are available and wonderful.

Adequately humidified air does not push gunk back into the sinus cavities; instead, you experience better drainage and shorter colds/infections/et al.

Also use plain saline sprays to flush, soothe and heal the irritated membranes.
