Good point, Capt. I'm sure that you are right. Each airline probably has its own policies re 'acceptable' xPAP's and batteries. Uniformity would be helpful here. Lithium-ion batteries are fairly expensive and it would not be worthwhile to buy one for a flight on airline 'x' but not be able to use it 6 months later on airline 'y'. I've heard that a couple of airlines will provide AC hookups for xPAP users by prior arrangement. But I guess that it is very much a case by case situation. (in the airline's defense they shouldn't allow a battery on board that could threaten the plane's safety). Maybe I'll have to continue to travel to places during daylight hours only (groan)
