PS My story is a long one. Diagnosed in 1997, and set on
pressure 11. I started reading in the sleepnet site right as I was
diagnosed, I wanted as much information as I could get. Started
mouth breathing about 2 weeks after starting, then tried
different methods to try to keep my mouth shut (all except Duct
Tape which Jo (Seattle) vehemiently disagreed with *grin* Gave
up periodically, trying different masks along the way. Had
surgery in 2004, which didn't work. I tried Full Face masks, the
first a Mirage FF which leaked like a sieve. That's when I gave up
for a while because I just couldn't sleep with a mask that blew
air in my eyes and out the sides of my mouth. I didn't give up for
long, I would begin to feel horrible, so I'd go back to the sleep
center asking for another mask to try. I'm using the
ComfortFull2 now, which is ok except the mask needs to be
cinched down pretty tight. This is not what they say to do, but if
it isn't pulled tight, the air blows straight into my eyes and all
over. If I stayed on my back and didn't move at all, this would
work loose. I just don't think that's realistic to think I'm not
going to move during the night :-)
