You're generally going to get a biased opinion here about apnea and CPAP's. Most of us have it and use it. Like I said, I don't know what you should do or whether you have apnea or narcolepsy. You have the power to stop any further tests, or, you have the power to go through as many tests as you can afford and try as many things as medicine has to offer to imporve your sleep and therefore your health.
