I only had the UPPP and tongue advancement. The doctor I just
went to actually told me what was causing my apnea, or what he
thought it was. My tongue is way back, and I have a long palate.
Also, he said my neck was tilted forward (that' the way he
described it anyway) All 3 of these things combine to make a
smaller airway. Wow. 10 years with apnea, and just now maybe
have an idea of what is "wrong". I will look into MMA, but it
sure sounds scary. He has analyzed the results of an auto
machine, and wants me to set mine to a range of 7-18 on auto.
Will see if this works. I don't really mind the machine any more,
it is amazing how used to it I am after 10 years LOL I just can't
deal with the pressure being higher than about 11.5.
