I don't know how common it is to have both an apnea sleep study and MLST study done consecutively; there have been other posters on these forums who had had both done in the manner you describe. Since it's possible to have more than one sleep disorder at a time, I cannot see the logic behind canceling the MLST just because apneas appeared during the first part of the study. What seems equally disconcerting is that someone said a person could demonstrate apneas one night and not another. I suppose anything is possible.

In any event, it's quite understandable to me that you have concerns and if your gut tells you that you don't yet have the full story, go with your gut instinct and keep digging. There are other doctors and other sleep labs and it sounds as if you could do with a different testing environment. Good luck and I hope you keep us posted.
