Cap, I use a Respironics BiPAP Pro. It runs on A/C house current or 12 volt DC and has an optional power cord that plugs into a car's cigarette lighter. If you find a portable generator at a reasonable price, that would be the best solution. If it's gasoline powered (or diesel, for that matter)you would use the same type of storage container that you would use for a lawnmower.
