new OSA diagnosis in NYC

Posted by prophetsearcher on May 01, 2007 at 10:49:40:

hi everyone
I was just diagnosed with moderate OSA, having gone in for two overnight studies. I'm overwhelmed by the prospect of finding a DECENT DME in new york city and then choosing the right machine, mask, etc. to help end my intolerable exhaustion that has really interrupted my life for the worse.

does anyone have any suggestions on how to find a quality dme? my doctor's office won't give any recommendations, and my insurance provider (OXford) just gave me a list of a dozen phone numbers! please let me know if you have any advice on selecting a reliable cpap provider who can help me through this (scary) process

many, many thanks.
