Definitely try the heat first. And try the chin strap, but if you're
like me I had to use something home made as the ones sold
commerially don't cover the lips. I used a 4" wide ace bandage
sewn to fit over my head and lips. Worked great! I am using a
ComfortFull full face now though and wouldn't go back to the
ace bandage. Easier just to slip the mask on than all that
rigamarole of fitting the chin straps over the mask. Most
importantly, give everything time. I struggled for 10 years, and
am still having some apnea issues, but nothing like I was, and I
can't imagine sleeping without the mask, I'm totally used to it.
