Each airline should have an ADA compliance coordinator. Ask to speak with them and ask them to document their advice in your reservation record.

Just as an FYI. The TSA began requiring that all CPAP machines be removed from their carrying case and be sent through the x-ray machine separately. You can leave the humidifier (if any) and all the tubing, mask, etc. in the carrying case. This seems to be a nationwide policy as I have been told to remove it at every airport I have transited in the last 6 months.
