Disability Retirement/Sleep Apnea

Has anybody tried to get disability retirement from the federal government for sleep apnea? Not social security, but disability retirement (under FERS in particular). Difference is, with social security you must be unable to work at all. Disability retirement, you must be unable to do one or more critical elements of your job.
