Posted by atlchica1 on May 21, 2007 at 11:56:08:I just received my cpap machine last week, and have slept with it for 4 nights now. I find myself adjusting the nose mask on my face occasionally in my sleep, because I feel a bit of air leaking on the side of the mask. I also wake up with a dry mouth.
Is this normal to go through during the first few nights, or should I look into another mask? Is the dry mouth normal, or should I consider a full face mask? Getting information about CPAP has been very frustrating! My CPAP provider steered me into a specific machine and face mask, and didn't bring out others until I started asking questions. I've searched all over for information about how to choose a face mask and machine, but most of the discussions here and elsewhere are too advanced for me, a beginner at cpap therapy. Please help!
