Yes, the dry mouth is absolutely normal. I went through that too. The thing is that CPAP is something that your brain has to adapt to. It has to unlearn the way that you breathed before CPAP, and then relearn to keep your mouth closed. Your brain can and will learn to adapt to change. For example, my German friend moved next to a train in Berlin. He lived right next to the tracks, so close that his house would shake when the train passed. I asked him if that disturbed his sleep. He said that, at first he could not, but later he just adapted. His brain learned to accept the sounds of the trains. Same thing happens with CPAP. At first your brain is confused, but later it learns to adapt.
