ResMed/travel to China

Posted by adjusted on May 23, 2007 at 08:23:52:

This will be the first time I'm traveling overseas with my ResMed Vantage S8 Autoset. Does anyone know if this machine has a built-in automatic adjustment for electricity, so that I just need an adaptor, or do I need to bring a converter along with the adaptors?

Also, what is distilled water called in China?

China has very strict weight limits, a total of 11 pounds for the one carry-on bag I'm allowed. I have not yet been able to find out if they count the cpap as a carry-on, or if I'm allowed an extra one because it is medical equipment. I still don't know what airline we're traveling on; the travel agency can only book 4 weeks ahead, which is coming up in a few days.

I would appreciate any advice.
