If you are using a nasal mask, the only reason your mouth would be dry in the morning is if you are opening your mouth during your sleep.
If this happens, your cpap is not effective as the air is escaping through your mouth (and drying it out in the process).
They make chin straps to keep your mouth closed -- or as suggested you can try to train yourself.
I used a full-face cpap before my surgeries and did not like it. It would leak a lot and I don't think it was as effective as nasal masks. I just couldn't use a nasal mask because of nasal congestion.
