The answer is yes, altitude does make a difference; I believe pressure needs to be greater at the higher altitude. Some years ago I lived at sea level and then moved to 3,000 ft, but it only had to be changed about a point, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I got an auto-adjusting machine and no longer worry about it. So glad you're feeling better. I think a diagnosis of "mild" sleep apnea does not necessarily reflect its adverse impact on our lives and health -- just my opinion.
