I suspect that you would do better with an Autopap (S8 Vantage). It might be that the pressure is inadequate. The Autopap machine will be able to detect if you need more pressure than the 8cms, and will be able to respond to apneas or hyponeas, in some cases, before they happen. Once you are breathing better, they will lower your pressure.

If you are sleeping with your mouth open, you can try some other measures before you resort to the full face mask. Try a chin strap, see if it works. Then try a mouth piece. See a dentist who specializes in OSA for this. Also, give it a bit of time before you make a decision. There is an adjustment period. Our brains need a little time to relearn to breathe with CPAP. If those things fail, then try the full face mask.
