Thanks for the advice. I am planning on being as tired as I can be when I go to the test, although I suspect the importance of the event will get some adrenaline going, which I hope won't keep my mind racing (that's when I have the worst time falling asleep). The counter is of course I won't be able to have my coffee, so I won't have that to keep me up. A hot shower sounds like it ought to relax me a bit - good idea. I have been doing a lot of reading on the site, and I think I may be only a mild case as I don't seem to have as much difficulty as many posters here in regards to wanting to fall asleep, but I understand severity doesn't really correlate to effect upon the person's quality of life in many cases with many being severely affected with diagnosis of mild OSA/UARS. Ten days to go until my test!
