It might not matter if you have a letter with you. I had a note, and
the stewardess refused us anyway. It happens when you board the
plane, and if they refuse to read your note...you're going to have to
take one of the bags off and check them. Just be prepared for this
possiblity...hate to say that, but it's what happened to us. I looked
around to see my husband going back off to the door and having
one of the attendants going back with the bag to check it.
