Yes, I can see that for a lot of folks, those medications would do that. But, I failed to mention that I have been taking the Codeine for about 8 years, and the valium in a much larger dose for about a year now. Ususaly my sleep causes me to become so tense, that my fibromyalgia is at its worse in the mornings, and my muscles spasm then, too. Often, I take (by permission) up to 3 of the Tylenol Codeine #4 (a very strong does) plus a whole 10mg of Valium to bring down the pain and spasm levels, and it does not give me a zombie feeling, because I've taken these meds for so many years.
But this morning, I took just 2 of the T4 Codeine and 1/4 of one tble of Valium, which equals 2.5 mg versus the usual dose of 10 mg, so that was a considerably lighter dose of my normal medications. I did that hoping to release the amount of mucle tension (since letting it go on inevitably leads to migraine and excesive fibro pain) and a normal dose of my pain meds, which really never slow me down, probably becuase I've taken them for so long. They work, but they don't make me somnolent.
So, that's why I was a little concerned about suddenly becoming even more somnolent than susal on this reduced ose, and wonderng why I was a little "breathy - not quite short of breath, but almost, and wondering if I had done something wrong.
So, it's not the medications, as I know what I am doing with them and have taken them for a long time, it's more to do with the machine, and if there's something about it I don't know.
Thanks,
Always Sleeping
