I would definitly have the autopap checked. Revving up to 18 or 19 while you're still awake certainly seems excessive. Just because maintenance isn't scheduled until 4500 hours doesn't mean it can't malfunction again. Go with your best instincts.

FWIW, I also use the ResMed AutoSet Spirit and it starts out at the bottom range. I can see it on the readout in the morning. It doesn't rev up until it's needed, so oftentimes it stays low all night. We recently had a sudden, unexpected death in the family and for the first time in ages, the autopap revved up to the top of the range for a few nights.
