I'll say that I can only agree with SleepyTimeGal and Captain Cannuck. But I'll add just a bit more. :-)

Is your doctor reading from the sleep study or a summary report of the sleep study? Is your doctor a sleep disorder specialist or general practitioner?

Now to add insult to injury on the full PSG's. During my last split sleep study, I had 4 pressures that could have been prescribed from the data. While PSG's do have their quirks, a good sleep doctor will know what to do with the information and how to approach the problem from there. My sleep doctor was the key factor in deciding this, and he made a good decision.

I just have one personal question--what are you willing to do to get a good night's rest on a fairly consistant basis? However you answer that question--I'd say "do it". Just do some research and become informed before doing anything drastic.

I wish you well!

Sleep Well and Prosper!
