Hi Abby and Captin Cannuck.

I can sure relate to your frustration Abby. I too have been struggling with Sleep Apnea for seven years now. I've been telling my sleep doc the whole time that CPAP doesn’t work for me and she's hasn't been listening. I think that she has CPAP tunnel vision and assumes that if CPAP isn't working than there must be something else wrong with you other than sleep apnea. I noticed that studies are stating that CPAP is 100% effective for preventing sleep apnea and realize that with that endorsement you have a good portion of the medical community against you if CPAP doesn't do the trick. My case in point, my sleep doc has been telling for seven years that something else is causing my morning headaches and sleeplessness. To disprove her I have seen three ENT docs, and allergist, a neurologist, had a cat scan and MRI, and I'm killing myself with exercise to have zero fat, all to no avail. I no longer use CPAP concluding that it actually makes my symptoms worse. And the medical system sucks, my studies and appointments are a year apart so it's taking a life time to move baby steps forward. I just had another sleep study, without CPAP, which established that I still have sleep apnea after my last test more then a year ago showed that I had no apnea. Yep, I'm fit to be tied. I meet with my sleep doc next month to go over those results and am going to ask for a medical certificate for a dental devise and I'm praying to God that will help. On that note, would you have any advice Captin Cannock on dental devices?
