There are three major brands available in the US via internet sales and several others that are not 'major' brands. The major brands are Respironics, ResMed, and Puritan Bennett. You can't go wrong with any of these major brands and their offerings. Get a CPAP model with a heated humidifier attachment. It may not be needed at every time of the year, but will come in very handy in the future. The on-line company will need a fax of your perscription for the sale of the machine, but that shouldn't be a problem. About masks...if ordering online, call the company and ask which masks are the most popular and work the best. You'll still end up buying three or four masks before you find your best mask, but everyone goes through this process. Absolutely no need to spend $1,700 for a CPAP and mask.
