Trouble with nasal pillows

Posted by milron on August 08, 2007 at 15:04:51:

I have a Mirage Liberty TM (full face mask with nasal pillows). It only covers the mouth, while the pillows cover the nose. The pillow sizes are small, medium, and large. I can only use the large because the others are too small and tend to leak. Now the large is beginning to leak, however I don't think it's because the large is too small for me also. The medium came close to fitting me and the large appear to be actually too big in a way. They just don't seem to fit the shape of the end of my nostrils. The pillows seem to have more of an oval shape, while the end of my nostrils seem to have more of a rounder shape. However, the respiratory specialist don't think that's a problem. They said the instructions show a way they can be fitted to the shape of my nostrils, or at least adjusted to make a better fit to stop the leaks. I couldn't find anything in my instructions addressing that. The last two nights, I've been waking up hearing a leak and the only way I can stop it is slightly, and I mean slightly press the tip of my nose. Has anybody experienced this problem or does anyone know how to solve it.
