If you're not using a humidifier (or are using a passive one) try using a heated humidifier. Hint: if you have to plug it on, or it is integrated into the CPAP unit, it's heated; otherwise it's passive.

Also, sometimes a a less automatic unit is better. You may want to try disabling all the bells and whistles so that you have a plain-old CPAP (if it's even possible to do so).
