I was a mouth breather for 50+ years before going on cpap. When falling asleep keep the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth like you are saying the letter "T". It took me a few weeks, but I now have no problem breathing through my nose when using the Activa mask. I still revert to mouth breathing if I fall asleep without the mask.
